Selector Lever: Removal

MKX only 

  1. Using a suitable tool, remove the selector lever trim ring.

    All vehicles 

  2. Lift the armrest. Using a suitable tool, remove the center console trim cover.

  3. Remove the 2 fasteners and position the power outlet trim cover aside.

  4. NOTE: To prevent selector lever cable damage, do not apply force to the selector lever cable between the manual control lever and the selector lever cable bracket.

  5. Remove the selector lever cable end from the selector lever.
  6. Release the 2 tabs and remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever housing.

  7. Disconnect the selector lever electrical connector.

  8. Remove the bolts and the selector lever.
