Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Disconnect the liftgate release switch molding electrical connector.
  3. Remove the 6 liftgate release switch molding nuts.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
  4. Press the tabs and remove the liftgate release switch.
  5. Disconnect the liftgate release switch electrical connector.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
