Rear Brake Caliper: Installation

    NOTE: Make sure that the caliper guide pin boots are fully seated or damage to the caliper guide pin boots can occur.
    NOTE: Make sure that the brake caliper hose is not twisted during caliper installation.
  1. Position the brake caliper onto the anchor plate and brake pads.
  2. Install the 2 brake caliper guide pin bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 26 Nm (19 lb-ft).
  3. Using 2 new copper washers, position the brake hose and install the brake caliper flow bolt.
    • Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  4. Install the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
  5. Bleed the brake caliper. For additional information, refer to Component Bleeding in BRAKE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
