Removal and Installation

NOTE:
Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
NOTE:
Prior to the replacement of the module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the appropriate scan tool. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation. For additional information, refer to
MODULE CONFIGURATION
.
- Upload the module configuration information from the DSM into the scan tool. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
- If necessary, remove the driver seat. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the DSM .
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
This step is necessary only if the Driver Seat Module (DSM) is being replaced.
NOTE:
If the driver seat can be moved to a high enough position, the DSM
screws can be easily accessed and removed without removing the driver seat.
NOTE:
If installing a new DSM
, make sure to download the DSM
configuration information from the scan tool into the new DSM
