Shock Absorber: Installation

- Position the shock absorber and loosely install the new shock absorber lower bolt and flagnut.
- Remove the jackstand.
- Install the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
- With the weight of the vehicle on the wheel and tire, tighten the shock absorber lower bolt to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
- Install the new shock absorber upper nuts.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Install the quarter trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
NOTE:
Do not tighten the bolt at this time.
