High Transmission Fluid Level

NOTE:
Transmission fluid level above the "MAX" level may cause shift/engagement concerns or transmission damage.
If the transmission fluid level is above the "MAX" range on the transmission fluid level indicator, remove the drain plug and allow the fluid to reach the hashmark level. For additional information refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID DRAIN AND REFILL .
High transmission fluid levels can be caused by an overheating condition. If the vehicle has been operated for an extended period of time at high speeds, in city traffic during hot weather or pulling a trailer, the vehicle should be turned off until normal operating temperature, 82°C-93°C (180°F-200°F) is reached as indicated by the scan tool.
