Removal and Installation

NOTE: For non-functional ignition lock cylinders, the steering column lock module has to be replaced. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN LOCK MODULE .
  1. Remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver. For additional information, refer to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) TRANSCEIVER or PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) TRANSCEIVER .
  2. NOTE: The ignition lock cylinder must be in the RUN position.

  3. Using a suitable tool (such as a pick), press the release pin and remove the ignition lock cylinder.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Verify the ignition lock cylinder operation.
