PINPOINT TEST F: DTCs B2900 AND C1805

  1. F1 VERIFY PCM VIN 
    • Connect the scan tool.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using the scan tool, carry out the Network Test.
    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: LogViewer.
    • Compare the VIN  in LogViewer to the vehicle VIN  plate.
    • Does VIN in LogViewer match the vehicle VIN plate? 
    1. Yes:  GO to F2  .
    2. No:  RECONFIGURE the PCM. FOLLOW the instructions on the scan tool. CLEAR the DTCs. CYCLE the ignition key. REPEAT the self-test.
  2. F2 VERIFY ABS MODULE PART NUMBER 
    • Retrieve and record the ABS module part number from LogViewer and verify that the vehicle has the correct ABS module installed.
    • Is the correct ABS module installed in the vehicle? 
    1. Yes:  CONFIGURE the ABS module. REFER to PROGRAMMABLE MODULE INSTALLATION (PMI) USING THE INTEGRATED DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM (IDS) WHEN THE ORIGINAL MODULE IS NOT AVAILABLE . CLEAR the DTC. CYCLE the ignition key. REPEAT the self-test.
    2. No:  INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE . CLEAR the DTC. CYCLE the ignition key. REPEAT the self-test.
