Instrument Cluster (IC): Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Mercury Mariner and 2010 Ford Escape. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Position the IC , connect the electrical connector and install the 4 instrument cluster screws.
- Position the IC finish panel, connect the instrument panel dimmer switch electrical connector, the ambient air temperature sensor (if equipped) and install the finish panel.
- If installing a new IC , download the IC configuration information from the scan tool into the new IC . For additional information, refer to Programmable Module Installation (PMI) in MODULE CONFIGURATION .
- If installing a new IC , carry out the parameter reset and key programming procedure. For additional information, refer to ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) (non-hybrid) or ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) - HYBRID (hybrid).
NOTE:
If a new IC
is installed, the IC
and the PCM require a parameter reset to allow the IC
and the PCM to recognize each other. Failure to carry out the parameter reset to the IC
and the PCM results in a no start condition.
NOTE:
The vehicle's Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) keys must be programmed to the new IC
.
