WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Mercury Milan, 2010 Lincoln MKZ, and 2010 Ford Fusion. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Open the luggage compartment lid.
  2. If equipped, disconnect the spoiler electrical connector.
  3. Remove the spoiler-to-luggage compartment lid nuts.
    • To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
  4. Position a piano wire, or equivalent tool, between the spoiler and the luggage compartment lid.
NOTE: The spoiler is attached to the luggage compartment lid with double-sided tape. New tape must be installed during installation.
  5. Cut the double-sided tape.
NOTE: There are 2 pin-type retainers on the bottom of the spoiler. If the pin-type retainers break during removal, a new spoiler must be installed.
  6. Slide a suitable tool between the luggage compartment lid and the spoiler at each end until contact is made with the pin-type retainers. Push in the pin-type retainer and pull up on the spoiler to release the spoiler from the luggage compartment lid.
