Heated Seat System

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Mercury Milan, 2010 Lincoln MKZ, and 2010 Ford Fusion. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The system contains the following serviceable components:

The FCIM  and HVAC module operate the heated seat system independently from other systems. Upon pressing a heated seat button, the heated seat module will cycle off, high, low and off. Both indicators illuminate in high, the lower indicator illuminates in low and neither will be illuminated when off.

If the ignition source is turned off, the heated seat module will enter an off state and will not return to on until the heated seat control button is once again pressed with the ignition in RUN. The heated seat module does not time out.
