Removal and Installation

    All vehicles 

  1. Remove the hood latch. For additional information, refer to HOOD LATCH .
  2. Remove the steering column cover.
  3. Remove the 2 hood latch release handle bolts.
  4. Release the hood latch release cable grommet from the dash panel.

    5. Five Hundred and Montego Vehicles 

  5. Remove the 4 radiator grille opening panel pin-type retainers.
  6. Remove the 2 bolts and the radiator grille opening panel.
    • To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

    7. All Vehicles 

  7. Release the 4 routing clips and remove the hood latch release handle and cable assembly.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
