Power Steering Control Valve Actuator: Removal

NOTE: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power steering components may result.
  1. Using a suitable suction device, siphon the power steering fluid from the power steering reservoir.
  2. Remove the 7 pin-type retainers and the RH splash shield.

  4. Using the Power Steering Belt Removal Tool, remove the power steering pump belt from the power steering pump pulley and position it aside.
    • Install the Power Steering Belt Removal Tool between the power steering pump belt and pulley and turn the crankshaft bolt clockwise.

  6. Disconnect the power steering control valve actuator electrical connector.
  7. Remove the 3 power steering pump bolts.
  8. Holding the power steering pump with a suitable holding device, loosen the bolt and remove the power steering control valve actuator.
