Removal And Installation

WARNING:
Do not smoke, carry lighted tobacco or have an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
- Remove the throttle body (TB). For additional information, refer to Throttle Body .
- Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
- Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve tube quick connect coupling. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
- Disconnect the EGR system module vacuum supply hose from the TB spacer.
- Disconnect the PCV tube quick connect coupling. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
- Remove the 5 TB spacer bolts.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Remove the TB spacer and gasket.
- Discard the TB spacer gasket.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new gasket on the TB spacer.
