Removal And Installation

    WARNING: Before servicing a vehicle equipped with a fire suppression system, depower the system by following the procedure in FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM article. Failure to follow the instructions may result in serious personal injury.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the generator. For additional information, refer to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
  3. Install the Engine Lifting Bracket.
  4. Fig 1: Special Tool

  5. Install the Engine Support Bar.

  7. Remove the RH and LH lower engine mount nuts.
    • To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
  8. Using the Engine Support Bar, raise the engine.

  10. Remove the 3 RH engine mount bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
  11. Remove the RH engine mount.
  12. WARNING: If the vehicle is equipped with a fire suppression system, repower the system. For important safety warnings and procedures, refer to FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM article. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
  13. To install, reverse the removal procedure. If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system
