Crankshaft Pulley: Installation

    NOTE: The crankshaft pulley must be installed within 4 minutes after applying the silicone.
  1. Apply sealant to the Woodruff key slot on the crankshaft pulley.

  3. Using the Crankshaft Vibration Damper Installer, install the crankshaft pulley.

    NOTE: Use the Strap Wrench to hold the crankshaft pulley.
  5. Install the bolt and washer. Tighten the bolt in 4 steps.
    • Step 1: Tighten to 120 Nm (89 lb-ft).
    • Step 2: Loosen the bolt one full turn.
    • Step 3: Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
    • Step 4: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.

  7. Rotate the tensioner clockwise and install the accessory drive belt.

  9. Install the engine cooling fan and the fan shroud. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING article.
