Crankshaft Pulley: Installation

- Apply sealant to the Woodruff key slot on the crankshaft pulley.
- Using the Crankshaft Vibration Damper Installer, install the crankshaft pulley.
- Install the bolt and washer. Tighten the bolt in 4 steps.
- Step 1: Tighten to 120 Nm (89 lb-ft).
- Step 2: Loosen the bolt one full turn.
- Step 3: Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
- Step 4: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
- Rotate the tensioner clockwise and install the accessory drive belt.
- Install the engine cooling fan and the fan shroud. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING article.
NOTE:
The crankshaft pulley must be installed within 4 minutes after applying the silicone.
NOTE:
Use the Strap Wrench to hold the crankshaft pulley.
