Perimeter Lighting Feature
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Ford Mustang. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The perimeter lighting feature illuminates the exterior of the vehicle in order to provide better visibility to the customer when entering the vehicle.
Vehicles equipped with perimeter lighting can have this feature activated or deactivated. Refer to Perimeter Lighting Feature Programming for programming information.
The following items illuminate when the unlock button on the remote transmitter is pressed or the vehicle is unlocked, by using the driver door lock cylinder:
- Headlamps
- Parklamps
The lamps turn off:
- When the lock control on the remote transmitter is pressed
- If the ignition switch is turned to the RUN position
- After 25 seconds have elapsed since the perimeter lighting was activated
