Rear Disc Brake: Installation

- Clean any rust or foreign material from the brake disc and the wheel hub.
- Use brake parts cleaner to clean the brake disc and hub surfaces.
- Clean any residual thread lock compound, and any other foreign material, from the threads of the brake caliper anchor plate.
- Apply a thin coat of anti-seize lubricant to the hub flange.
- Position the brake disc onto the wheel hub.
- Position the brake caliper anchor plate and install 2 new anchor plate bolts.
- Tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft).
- Install the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES article.
- Apply brakes several times to verify correct brake operation.
CAUTION:
In order for the brake caliper anchor plate bolts to attain the proper clamp load when installed, the residual thread lock compound must be cleaned out of the bolt threads of the anchor plate.
CAUTION:
Do not allow the lubricant to make contact with the wheel studs, brake pads or brake disc or damage to components may occur.
