Removal And Installation

NOTE:
While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power steering components may occur.
NOTE:
Do not allow power steering fluid to contact the engine accessory drive belt or failure of the belt may occur.
- Remove the power steering pump. For additional information, refer to Power Steering Pump .
- Remove the pressure line bracket-to-rear engine bolt.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Disconnect the Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch electrical connector from the pressure line.
- Remove the pressure line bracket-to-valve cover stud nut.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Remove the pressure line bracket-to-steering gear bolt.
- To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Remove the power steering line clamp plate bolt.
- Rotate the clamp plate and disconnect the pressure line from the steering gear.
- To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
