Removal And Installation

  1. Relieve the parking brake cable tension. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Cable Tension Release .
  2. Remove the 3 parking brake cable bracket bolts from the subframe.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
  3. Disconnect the intermediate cable from the front cable at the cable-to-cable union.
  4. Release the intermediate cable from the body bracket.
  5. Release the intermediate cable from the rear RH cable at the cable-to-cable union.
  6. Release the LH rear cable from the intermediate cable at the conduit equalizer.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Inspect the parking brake system for correct operation.
