Power Steering Pump Belt: Installation

  1. Install the power steering drive belt on the crankshaft pulley.
  2. NOTE: After installation, make sure the power steering drive belt is correctly seated on the crankshaft and power steering pump pulleys.
  3. Position the power steering drive belt around the Power Steering Belt Installation Tool and the power steering pump pulley. Make sure the belt is engaged with the power steering pump pulley and rotate the crankshaft clockwise to install the power steering drive belt.

  5. Position the accessory drive belt on the crankshaft pulley.
  6. NOTE: After installation, make sure the accessory drive belt is correctly seated on all pulleys.
  7. Working from the top of the vehicle, using a suitable belt tensioner release tool, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and install the accessory drive belt.
  8. Install the RH splash shield and the 7 pin-type retainers.
  9. Install the RF tire and wheel. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES article.
