Removal And Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Remove the RH front fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS article.
- Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector.
- Disconnect the washer pump hoses.
- Gently twist the lock ring until the ring has rotated approximately 90 degrees.
- The hose should slide easily out of the connection.
- To install, make sure the hoses are fully seated and locked into place.
- Rotate the lock ring back to the original location.
- Remove the 2 windshield washer reservoir bolts and the windshield washer reservoir.
- To install, tighten to 6 N.m (53 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill the windshield washer reservoir with windshield washer fluid.

CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the connector, do not use hand tools to remove/install the washer pump hose.
NOTE:
To prevent spilling windshield washer fluid, drain the windshield washer reservoir before removal.
CAUTION:
Do not leave the lock ring in the disassembled position. This will weaken the ring and may prevent it from correctly locking in place when reassembled, resulting in a leak.
CAUTION:
Do not operate the washer pump prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir. Failure to follow these instructions may result in premature pump failure.
