Pinpoint Test A: All Power Windows Are Inoperative

  1. A1 CHECK VOLTAGE TO THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH - CIRCUIT CBP47 (GN/BU) 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504a and C504b
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between LH front window control switch C504a-2, circuit CBP47 (GN/BU), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. YES  : Go to  A2.
    2. NO  : INSPECT SJB circuit breaker 47 (30A). If OK, go to  A3 .
  2. A2 CHECK GROUND TO THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH - CIRCUIT GD149 (BK/GY) 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Measure the resistance between LH front window control switch C504b-7, circuit GD149 (BK/GY), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to Window Control Switch . TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. A3 CHECK CIRCUIT CBP47 (GN/BU) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: SJB C2280d
    • Measure the resistance between LH front window control switch C504a-2, circuit CBP47 (GN/BU), harness side and SJB C2280d-32, circuit CBP47 (GN/BU), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. YES  : Go to Pinpoint Test I .
    2. NO  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
