Pinpoint Test H: All The STOPLAMP Are Inoperative

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
  1. H1 CHECK CIRCUIT SBB71 (WH/RD) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Stoplamp Switch C2064

    • Measure the voltage between the stoplamp switch C2064-1, circuit SBB71 (WH/RD), harness side and ground.
    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. YES  : Go to  H2.
    2. NO  : VERIFY the BJB fuse 71 (10A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. H2 CHECK THE STOPLAMP SWITCH

    • Connect a fused (5A) jumper wire between the stoplamp switch C2064-1, circuit SBB71 (WH/RD), harness side and the stoplamp switch C2064-4, circuit CCB08 (VT/WH), harness side.
    • Are the stoplamp illuminated? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new stoplamp switch. REFER to Stoplamp Switch  in this. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : REPAIR circuit CCB08 (VT/WH) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
