Pinpoint Test Ah: DTC B103C - Thermoelectric Driver Open Load
- AH1 CHECK THE CCSM FOR RESISTANCE
- Key in OFF position.
- Depower the SRS. Refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering in the General Procedures portion of SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
- Disconnect: Driver seat side air bag C328
- Disconnect: Driver seat safety belt buckle pretensioner C3201
- Disconnect: Passenger seat side air bag C327
- Disconnect: Passenger seat safety belt buckle pretensioner C3202
- Disconnect: CCSM C3036a
- Measure the resistance between CCSM C3036a pin G and pin H, component side and between CCSM C3036a pin J and pin K, component side.
- Are the resistances less than 10 ohms?
- AH2 CHECK THE TED CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Cushion TED C3327
- Disconnect: Backrest TED C3322
- Measure the resistance of the following circuits.
CCSM Connector-Pin Circuit TED Connector-Pin C3036a-G CHS02 (YE/BU) C3327-1 C3036a-H RHS02 (BU/OG) C3327-3 C3036a-J CHS01 (GY/VT) C3322-1 C3036a-K RHS01 (WH/VT) C3322-3 - Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
- YES : Go to AH3.
- NO
: REPAIR the affected circuit. REPEAT the self-test. CLEAR the DTCs.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable.
CONNECT passenger safety belt buckle pretensioner C3202. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag module C327.
CONNECT driver safety belt buckle pretensioner C3201. CONNECT driver seat side air bag module C328.
REPOWER the SRS. REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
- AH3 CHECK THE TED CIRCUITS FOR SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Disconnect: CCSM C3036a
- Connect the battery ground cable.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the following CCSM C3036a pins, harness side and ground.
Connector-Pin Circuit C3036a-G CHS02 (YE/BU) C3036a-H RHS02 (BU/OG) C3036a-J CHS01 (GY/VT) C3036a-K RHS01 (WH/VT) - Is voltage present on any circuit?
WARNING: Make sure no one is in the vehicle and there is nothing blocking or placed in front of any air bag module when the battery is connected. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury in the event of an accidental deployment.- YES
: REPAIR the affected circuit. REPEAT the self-test. CLEAR the DTCs.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable.
CONNECT passenger safety belt buckle pretensioner C3202. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag module C327.
CONNECT driver safety belt buckle pretensioner C3201. CONNECT driver seat side air bag module C328.
REPOWER the SRS. REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
- NO : Go to AH4.
- AH4 CHECK RESISTANCE OF THE TEDS
- Key in OFF position.
- Measure the resistance between backrest TED C3322 pin 1 and pin 3, component side and between cushion TED C3327 pin 1 and pin 3, component side.
- Are the resistances between 0.9 and 10 ohms?

- YES
: INSTALL a new CCSM and CARRY OUT programmable module installation (PMI). REFER to Climate Controlled Seat Module . REPEAT the self-test. CLEAR the DTCs.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable.
CONNECT passenger safety belt buckle pretensioner C3202. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag module C327.
CONNECT driver safety belt buckle pretensioner C3201. CONNECT driver seat side air bag module C328.
REPOWER the SRS. REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
- NO
: If the resistance of the backrest TED was not
between 0.9 and 10 ohms, INSTALL a new backrest TED. REFER to Seat Backrest Thermo-Electric Device . REPEAT the self-test. CLEAR the DTCs.
If the resistance of the cushion TED was not between 0.9 and 10 ohms, INSTALL a new cushion TED. REFER to Seat Cushion Thermo-Electric Device . REPEAT the self-test. CLEAR the DTCs.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable.
CONNECT passenger safety belt buckle pretensioner C3202. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag module C327.
CONNECT driver safety belt buckle pretensioner C3201. CONNECT driver seat side air bag module C328.
REPOWER the SRS. REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
