WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Lincoln MKX and 2007 Ford Edge. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: Do not clean in water or with water-based solvents. Damage to the component may occur.
NOTE: The low one-way clutch can not be disassembled.
  1. Clean and inspect the low one-way clutch for cracks and damaged splines. The internal splined section should rotate clockwise and lock when rotated counterclockwise. If any damage is found or the clutch does not rotate or lock, install a new low one-way clutch.
