Steering Gear: Removal

CAUTION:
When repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power steering components may result.
- Remove the stabilizer bar. For additional information, refer to FRONT SUSPENSION .
- Remove the pressure line-to-steering gear banjo bolt.
- Discard the 2 seals.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the return hose from the steering gear.
- Remove the 2 bolts and the steering gear heat shield.
- Remove the 3 pressure line bracket-to-steering gear bolts.
- Remove and discard the 4 steering gear bolts.
- Remove the steering gear.
