Removal and Installation

All vehicles

Remove the driver air bag module. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .

Vehicles without remote audio controls

Release the tabs and remove the speed control switches.
- Cut the wire ties.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.

Vehicles with remote audio controls

CAUTION: When removing the speed control switch, be careful not to damage the leather wrap tied around the switch.

Cut the wire ties and remove the speed control switch.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

All vehicles

NOTE: New wire ties need to be installed when this procedure is complete to secure the steering wheel harness.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
