DTC P1260: - THEFT DETECTED, VEHICLE IMMOBILIZED
| Description: | This DTC can be set if the passive anti-theft system (PATS) has determined a theft condition existed and the engine is disabled or an engine start was attempted using a non-PATS key. This DTC is a good indicator to check the PATS for DTCs. This DTC can also be set when a new instrument cluster (IC) or powertrain control module (PCM) is installed without correctly programming either module even if the vehicle is not equipped with PATS. |

| Diagnostic Aids: | Theft indicator flashing rapidly or on solid when the ignition is in the ON position. Check the anti-theft system for DTCs. Refer to the ANTI-THEFT - PERIMETER
, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Charts to continue diagnosis. If a new IC or PCM is installed without correctly programming either module, the parameters must be reset in both modules. Refer to the ANTI-THEFT - PERIMETER , Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset, to continue diagnosis. |
