Removal and Installation
All vehicles
- Position the steering wheel downward.
- Remove the front floor console. For additional information, refer to CONSOLE - FRONT, FLOOR .
- Remove the LH and RH A-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the LH and RH instrument panel side trim panels.
- Pull the instrument panel side trim panels outward to release the retaining clips.
- Remove the steering wheel. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN .
- Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL .
- Remove the 4 Instrument Cluster (IC) screws.
- Remove the IC

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the 2 multifunction switch screws.
- Remove the multifunction switch.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Disconnect the headlamp switch electrical connector through the instrument cluster finish panel opening.
- Remove the hood release handle screw and position the handle aside.
Vehicles without navigation
- Remove the 4 Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) screws.
- Remove the FDIM
.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Detach the 2 wire harness pin-type retainers located in the FDIM opening.
- Detach the wire harness pin-type retainer located below the Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM).
- Remove the 4 FCIM screws.
- Remove the FCIM
.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Disconnect the antenna cable.
Vehicles with navigation
- Remove the 4 FDIM screws.
- Remove the FDIM
.
- Disconnect the electrical and video connectors.
- Detach the 3 wire harness pin-type retainers located in the FDIM opening.
- Detach the wire harness pin-type retainer located below the FCIM .
- Remove the 4 FCIM screws.
- Remove the FCIM
.
- Disconnect the electrical and video connectors.
- Disconnect the antenna cable.
- Detach the wire harness pin-type retainers.
All vehicles
- Remove the light sensor from the instrument panel upper section.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- If equipped, remove the instrument panel speaker. For additional information, refer to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS .
- Remove the LH and RH front door scuff plate trim panels.
- Lift the scuff plate trim panels upward to release the retaining clips.
- Remove the LH and RH lower cowl trim panels.
- Pull the lower cowl trim panels rearward to release the retaining clips.
- Remove the 2 RH lower instrument panel insulator pushpin retainers.
- Remove the RH lower instrument panel insulator.
- Remove the 3 glove compartment screws.
- Remove the glove compartment assembly.
- Open and press in the 2 glove compartment door stops.
- Remove the 2 passenger air bag-to-cross beam bolts.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Remove the 13 instrument panel upper section screws.
- Remove one screw from the LH and RH side of the instrument panel.
- Remove the 5 screws located in the steering column opening trim panel area.
- Remove the 2 screws located in the IC area.
- Remove the 2 screws located in the lower FCIM area.
- Remove the 2 screws located in the glove compartment opening.
- Slightly pull the RH side of the instrument panel upper section outward to gain access to the passenger side air bag connectors.
- Disconnect the 2 passenger air bag connectors.
- Depress the retainers and remove the HVAC module from the instrument panel upper section.
- If equipped, position aside the Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna bracket from the instrument panel.
- Release the 2 clips and remove the GPS antenna from the instrument panel upper section.
- To install, make sure that the GPS antenna bracket has the metal plate facing downward.

NOTE: To avoid damaging the instrument panel upper section, an assistant is required when carrying out this step.NOTE: Make sure that the wire harness and connectors are not caught on other components.NOTE: When installing, verify that the electrical and video connectors are routed correctly.
Remove the instrument panel upper section.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Transfer parts as needed.
- Make sure to align the retaining clips to the adjacent retaining clip holes.
