Removal and Installation
- Apply the parking brake.
- Place the selector lever in the NEUTRAL position.
- Position the front seats forward.
- Remove the LH and RH front floor console rear lower bolt covers.
- Remove the 2 front floor console rear lower bolts.
- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
- Position the front seats rearward.
- Remove the selector lever trim ring.
- Lift upward and open the storage compartment lid.
- Remove the floor console finish panel in the following sequence.
- Remove the 2 floor console finish panel screws.
- Lift the floor console finish panel upward to release the retaining clips.
- If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector.
- Pull the middle and rear of the LH and RH floor console trim panels outward to release the retaining clips.
- Pull the front of the LH and RH floor console trim panels downward to detach the trim panel from the pin-type retainers.

NOTE: Damage to the floor console may occur if cardboard is not used to remove the floor console trim panels.NOTE: LH floor console trim panel shown in illustration, RH floor console trim panel similar.
Position a piece of cardboard between the LH and RH floor console trim panels and the floor console.
- Remove the LH floor console trim panel and cardboard simultaneously.
- If equipped, disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the RH floor console trim panel and cardboard simultaneously.
- If equipped, disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the 4 front floor console lower bolts.
- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
- Remove the 2 floor console upper bolts.
- Disconnect the floor console bulkhead connector.
- Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever.
- Remove the selector cable from the selector lever cable bracket.
- Remove the floor console.
- Pull the floor console rearward.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure to align the retaining clips to the adjacent retaining clip holes.
