Window Glass - Rear Quarter: Removal

Remove the exterior quarter window moulding. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
Remove the C-pillar, D-pillar and rear quarter trim panels. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .

WARNING: Wear protective gloves when handling components or parts that have pointed or sharp edges. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

NOTE: To avoid rust formation, use extreme care not to scratch the paint or primer, or otherwise damage the pinch weld during glass removal.

NOTE: Lubricate the existing urethane adhesive with water to aid the Pneumatic Knife with Offset Blade while cutting.

From the outside of the vehicle, using the Pneumatic Knife with Offset Blade, cut the top portion of glass.
NOTE: Insert the blade into the Deluxe Windshield Removal Tool so that the flat side is against the glass. This will leave the entire urethane adhesive bead on the pinch weld and allow a dry fit of the replacement rear quarter glass.

NOTE: Lubricate the existing urethane adhesive with water to aid the Deluxe Windshield Removal Tool while cutting.

From inside the vehicle, using the Deluxe Windshield Removal Tool, cut the glass starting at the upper C-pillar and work down, across the bottom, then upward toward the upper D-pillar.
Remove the rear quarter window glass.
