Removal and Installation
NOTE:
The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON.
NOTE:
The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
NOTE:
Always install a new cushion foam pad and new cushion heater mat together.
- Remove the seat cushion trim cover. For additional information, refer to SEAT CUSHION COVER - FRONT .
- At the front of the seat track, disconnect the cushion heater mat electrical connector and separate the wire harness retainer.
- Remove the cushion foam pad from the cushion frame. Discard the cushion foam pad with heater mat.
- Obtain a new cushion foam pad with the cushion heater mat already adhered to the cushion foam pad.
- Do not remove the old cushion heater mat from the old cushion foam pad and reuse any of these parts.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
