Pinpoint Test J: An Individual Button/Feature Is Inoperative From The RKE Transmitter

NOTE: The panic feature will only operate when the key is in the OFF position.

J1 VERIFY THE DOOR LOCK OPERATION
- Press the LOCK and UNLOCK button from the driver door lock control switch while observing the door lock operation.
- Do the door locks operate correctly?
- Yes : GO to J2.
- No : GO to SYMPTOM CHART .
J2 VERIFY THE HORN OPERATION
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: SJB DataLogger.
- Select the SJB PID (HORN) and active command the horn on.
- Does the horn sound when commanded on?
- Yes : GO to J3.
- No : REFER to HORN .
J3 VERIFY THE HAZARD LAMP OPERATION
- Place the hazard switch in the ON position.
- Do the hazard lamps operate correctly?
- Yes : GO to J4.
- No : REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING .
J4 VERIFY THE LIFTGATE LATCH OPERATION
- NOTE: The doors must be unlocked before verifying the liftgate release operation.
- Press the liftgate (located on the liftgate trim panel) release button.
- Does the liftgate release?
- Yes : REPLACE the inoperative IKT and PROGRAM all of the IKTs . REFER to ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) . INFORM the customer that any IKTs not present need to be programmed. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : Go To PINPOINT TEST F .
