Pinpoint Test I: The Headlamps Do Not Illuminate When The Wipers Are On

I1 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW01 (WH) FOR VOLTAGE
- Disconnect: Windshield Wiper Motor C125.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure the voltage between wiper motor C125-2 circuit CRW01 (WH), harness side and ground.

- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : INSTALL a new windshield wiper motor. REFER to WIPER MOTOR - WINDSHIELD . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : GO to I2.
I2 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW01 (WH) FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: SJB C2280F.
- Measure the resistance between SJB C2280F-8 circuit CRW01 (WH), harness side and wiper motor C125-2 circuit CRW01 (WH); and between SJB C2280F-8 circuit CRW01 (WH), harness side and ground.

- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the SJB and windshield wiper motor and greater than 10,000 ohms between the SJB and ground?
- Yes : GO to I3.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
I3 CHECK FOR CORRECT MODULE OPERATION
- Disconnect all the SJB connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion.
- pushed-out pins.
- Connect all the SJB connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
- Yes : INSTALL a new SJB . REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the SJB self-test.
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the selftest.
