Removal And Installation

NOTE:
Use care when handling the seat and track assembly. Dropping the assembly or sitting on a seat not secured in the vehicle may result in damaged components.
- Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to Seat - Front .
- Remove the safety belt buckle.
- Remove the nut.
- For driver seat, disconnect the safety belt buckle switch electrical connector.
- For passenger seat, disconnect the safety belt buckle switch and Belt Tension Sensor (BTS) electrical connectors.
- Remove the safety belt buckle.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Release the cushion trim cover rear J-clip.
- Release the cushion trim cover rear corner J-clip.
- Release the J-clip.
- Detach the electrical connector.
- For driver seat, disconnect the seat position sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the 2 recliner-to-seat track bolts.
- For power seat, to install, tighten to 52 Nm (38 lb-ft).
- For manual seat, to install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the pivot bolt.
- To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
- Remove the seat track.
- Disconnect any remaining electrical connectors.
- Remove the 4 seat track-to-cushion frame bolts and seat track.
- To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
