Removal And Installation

NOTE: Use care when handling the seat and track assembly. Dropping the assembly or sitting on a seat not secured in the vehicle may result in damaged components.
  1. Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to Seat - Front .
  2. Remove the safety belt buckle.
    • Remove the nut.
    • For driver seat, disconnect the safety belt buckle switch electrical connector.
    • For passenger seat, disconnect the safety belt buckle switch and Belt Tension Sensor (BTS) electrical connectors.
    • Remove the safety belt buckle.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  3. Release the cushion trim cover rear J-clip.

  5. Release the cushion trim cover rear corner J-clip.
  6. Release the J-clip.

  8. Detach the electrical connector.

  10. For driver seat, disconnect the seat position sensor electrical connector.
  11. Remove the 2 recliner-to-seat track bolts.
    • For power seat, to install, tighten to 52 Nm (38 lb-ft).
    • For manual seat, to install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
  12. Remove the pivot bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
  13. Remove the seat track.
    • Disconnect any remaining electrical connectors.
    • Remove the 4 seat track-to-cushion frame bolts and seat track.
      • To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
  14. NOTE: Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
  15. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
