Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY .
  2. For Hybrid vehicles, remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) assembly. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING - HYBRID .
  3. Release the battery cable retainers from the battery tray.
  4. Remove the 4 battery tray bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  5. Remove the battery tray.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
