Idler Pulley: Service and Repair

Accessory Drive Belt Idler Pulley

Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the 4 screws and position the RH fender splash shield aside.





3. Remove the 6 pin-type retainers and the RH splash shield.
4. Using the hex feature, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the idler pulley.
^ To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
5. Loosen the bolt and remove the accessory drive belt idler pulley.





6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
