Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair

Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner

Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and accessory drive belt splash shield.
^ To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

3. Using the hex feature, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the tensioner.





4. Remove the 2 bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
^ To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
