Lower Arm: Installation
- Position the lower arm and loosely install the shock absorber lower bolt and nut.
- Loosely install the lower arm forward nut and bolt.
- Loosely install the lower arm rearward nut and bolt.
- Install the stabilizer bar link lower nut.
- Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
- Use a suitable jack to raise the suspension until the distance between the center of the hub and the lip of the fender is equal to the measurement taken in Step 1 (curb height).
- Tighten the lower arm rearward nut to 350 Nm (258 lb-ft).
- Tighten the lower arm forward nut to 350 Nm (258 lb-ft).
- Tighten the shock absorber lower nut to 475 Nm (350 lb-ft).
- Install the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES article.
- Check and, if necessary, align the front end. For additional information, refer to SUSPENSION SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
