Inertia Fuel Shutoff Switch: Service and Repair

INERTIA FUEL SHUTOFF (IFS) SWITCH







Removal and Installation
1. Remove the LH rear quarter trim panel.
2. Remove the 3 rivets and the inertia fuel shutoff (IFS) switch shield.
3. Disconnect the IFS switch electrical connector.

4. CAUTION: Do not overtighten the fasteners or damage to the switch will occur.

Remove the 2 bolts and the IFS switch.
- To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
