Rear Brake Pads: Installation

CAUTION: Make sure that the guide pin and locator pin boots are correctly seated or damage to the guide pin or locator pin may occur. Inspect the guide pin and locator boots and lubricate the guide pin and locator pins with silicone grease as needed.
  1. CAUTION: Make sure the slot in the caliper piston lines up with the locating pin on the brake pad. Failure to line up the locating pin with the slot will cause uneven brake pad wear.
  2. Using the special tool, retract the brake caliper piston into the caliper bore.
