Pinpoint Test C: A Single Power Window Is Inoperative - RH Front
- C1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE RH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH - CIRCUIT 170 (RD/LB)
- Disconnect: RH Front Window Control Switch C624
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between RH front window control switch C624-3, circuit 170 (RD/LB) harness side and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- YES : Go to C2.
- NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST system for normal operation.
- C2 CHECK CIRCUITS 313 (WH/YE) AND 314 (TN/LB) FOR GROUND
- Disconnect: RH Front Window Control Switch C624
- Measure the resistance between RH front window control switch C624-1, circuit 314 (TN/LB), harness side and ground; and between RH front window control switch C624-6, circuit 313 (WH/YE), harness side and ground.
- Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
- C3 CHECK CIRCUITS 313 (WH/YE) AND 314 (TN/LB) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C508a
- Measure the resistance between LH front window control switch C508a-3, circuit 313 (WH/YE) and RH front window control switch C624-6, circuit 313 (WH/YE) harness side; and between LH front window control switch C508a-2, circuit 314 (TN/LB) and RH front window control switch C624-1, circuit 314 (TN/LB) harness side.
- Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
- YES : INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to Window Control Switch . TEST the system for normal operation.
- NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST system for normal operation.
- C4 CHECK THE RH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- Key in ON position.NOTE: Set the LH front window control lockout switch to the unlock position.
- Connect a fused jumper wire between RH front window control switch C624-1, circuit 314 (TN/LB) and RH front window control switch C624-5, circuit 1506 (RD/WH) harness side and a second jumper wire between RH front window control switch C624-3, circuit 170 (RD/LB) and RH front window control switch C624-2, circuit 1505 (YE/RD). The window should operate downward.
- Connect a fused jumper wire between RH front window control switch C624-1, circuit 314 (TN/LB) and RH front window control switch C624-2, circuit 1505 (YE/RD) and a second jumper wire between RH front window control switch C624-3, circuit 170 (RD/LB) and RH front window control switch C624-5, circuit 1506 (RD/WH) harness side. The window should operate downward.
- Does the window operate correctly?
- YES : If the RH front window did not operate with the RH front window control switch, INSTALL a new RH front window control switch. If the RH front power window did operate with the RH front window control switch but not with the LH front window control switch, INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to Window Control Switch . TEST the system for normal operation.
- NO : Go to C5.
- Key in ON position.
