Pinpoint Test A: All Power Windows Are Inoperative
- A1 CHECK THE SJB DTCs
- Retrieve the recorded DTC results from the SJB for the continuous and on-demand self test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- YES
: REFER to the SJB Diagnostic Trouble Code Index.
- NO
: Go to A2.
- A2 CHECK THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH GROUND
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C508a

- Measure the resistance between LH front window control switch C508a-1, circuit 1205 (BK), harness side and ground; and between LH front window control switch C508a-5, circuit 1205 (BK), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms on both circuits?
- YES
: Go to A3.
- NO
: REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- A3 CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION
- Disconnect all SJB connectors.
- Check for:
- Connect all the SJB connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
- YES
: INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES
article. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the SJB self-test.
- NO
: The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
