Track Bar - F-450, F-550: Installation

    CAUTION: Tighten the track bar bracket bolt with the suspension at curb height.
  1. Position the track bar and install the bracket nut and bolt. Do not tighten the nut at this time.
    2. CAUTION: Use the hex holding feature to prevent the track bar ball joint from turning while installing the nut, tighten the nut until snug. Final tighten the nut with the suspension at curb height.
  2. Position the track bar onto the ball joint and install the nut. Do not tighten the nut at this time.
  3. With the vehicle weight still supported by the jack stands, tighten the track bar ball joint nut to 250 Nm (184 lb-ft).
  4. With the vehicle weight still supported by the jack stands, tighten the track bar bracket nut to 550 Nm (406 lb-ft).
