The window control switch illumination is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Window control switch	For MKX, go to Pinpoint Test F . For Edge, CHECK the operation of the power windows. If the power windows operate correctly, INSTALL a new window control switch. REFER to GLASS, FRAMES AND MECHANISMS . TEST the system for normal operation. If the power windows do not operate correctly, REFER to GLASS, FRAMES AND MECHANISMS .
The door lock control switch illumination is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Door lock control switch	For MKX, go to Pinpoint Test F . For Edge, CHECK the operation of the door locks. If the door locks do not operate correctly, REFER to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS .
All network-controlled illumination does not dim	Medium speed controller area network (MS-CAN) SJB	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication to any module on the MS-CAN, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . If the scan tool communicates with the modules on the MS-CAN, INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . TEST the system for normal operation.
The instrument cluster illumination is inoperative	Instrument cluster	CHECK the audio unit illumination for correct operation. If the audio unit illumination operates correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation. If the audio unit illumination does not operate correctly, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to continue diagnosis of the communications network.
The audio unit illumination is inoperative	Audio unit	CHECK the instrument cluster illumination for correct operation. If the instrument cluster illumination operates correctly, REMOVE the audio unit. REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS . SEND it to an authorized repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation after the repair. If the instrument cluster illumination does not operate correctly, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to continue diagnosis of the communications network.
The digital versatile disk (DVD) player illumination is inoperative	DVD player	REMOVE the DVD player. REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS . SEND it to an authorized repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation.
The electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) illumination is inoperative	EATC module	CHECK the instrument cluster illumination for correct operation. If the instrument cluster illumination operates correctly, INSTALL a new EATC module. REFER to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS . TEST the system for normal operation. If the instrument cluster illumination does not operate correctly, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to continue diagnosis of the communications network.
