Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair
Accessory Drive Belt TensionerRemoval
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Working from the top of the vehicle, using a suitable belt tensioner release tool, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the generator pulley.
3. Remove the RH inner fender splash shield.
4. Remove the 3 bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
Installation
1. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner and the 3 bolts.
Tighten to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs).
2. CAUTION: Make sure the belt is correctly seated on all pulleys.
Working from the top of the vehicle, using a suitable belt tensioner release tool, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and install the accessory drive belt on the generator pulley.
3. Install the RH inner fender splash shield.
