Removal and Installation
NOTE:
The adjustable pedal assembly is shown, the fixed pedal assembly is similar.
- If equipped with adjustable pedals, position them to the full forward position.
- Remove the 3 steering column opening cover bolts and the cover.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Remove the 2 steering column opening reinforcement bolts and the reinforcement.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Remove the LH side demister duct.
- Disconnect the steering intermediate shaft upper bolt and position the shaft aside.
- To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
- Remove the redundant self-locking clip cover and self-locking clip.
- Position the brake pedal position (BPP) switch, booster rod, and bushing off the brake pedal.
- If equipped with adjustable pedals, release the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal arm.
- Release the accelerator cable from the plastic plunger.
- Release the plastic plunger from the accelerator pedal arm.
- If equipped with adjustable pedals, disconnect the adjustable pedal motor electrical connector at the top of the bracket.
- Remove the 4 brake booster nuts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Remove the 2 upper brake pedal bracket bolts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Remove the brake pedal and bracket assembly.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
