Wheel and Tire: Installation
- Position the wheel and tire assembly and install the wheel nuts until snug.
- With the weight of the vehicle on the wheels, tighten the wheel nuts in the pattern shown.
- Tighten to 128 Nm (94 lb-ft).
- If removed, install the wheel cover.
WARNING:
When a wheel is installed, always remove any corrosion, dirt or foreign material present on the mounting surfaces of the wheel and the surface of the hub and brake disc that contact the wheel. Installing wheels without correct metal-to-metal contact at the wheel mounting surfaces can cause the wheel nuts to loosen and the wheel to come off while the vehicle is in motion, resulting in loss of control. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
NOTE:
Do not tighten the wheel nuts at this time.
CAUTION:
Failure to tighten the wheel nuts in the pattern shown can result in high wheel and tire runout, which will speed up the development of brake roughness, shudder and vibration.
