Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
Recover the refrigerant. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSIS .
Remove the lower radiator air deflector.
Disconnect the compressor manifold and tube assembly at the suction accumulator.
- Discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

Remove the suction accumulator bracket nut.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

Remove the 2 suction accumulator bracket bolts.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

Disconnect the evaporator outlet line fitting at the suction accumulator.
- Discard the O-ring seals.

Remove the suction accumulator.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSIS .
Evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSIS .
